Lin Hong is late for school today. On her way
to school, she meets an old man. The old man wants to see his wife in hospital.
But he doesn't know the way. He is very worried. Lin Hong wants to help him,
but she doesn't know the way, either(也). So she asks
the policeman for help. The policeman says, "Walk along the street and
turn Ieft at the second crossing, then walk on and on, and the hospital is on
your right. " "But can I take a bus? Is it far from here?" Lin
Hong asks. "No, you can't. But you can take a taxi," the policeman
says. Lin Hong thanks the policeman and takes the old man to the hospital in a
taxi. It takes them about twenty minutes to get there. When Lin Hong gets to
school, the first class is over. Her classmate Wang Lin helps her with her
lesson after school.
