week on TV. Almost every household (家庭) has
at least one television set at home. In 1999, 13% of households had satellite television
and 9% cable television.

in Britain listen to about 15 hours and 50 minutes of radio every week.
Entertaining

popular activity in Britain is visiting or entertaining friends.

123 million British people went to the cinema in 1998. It is the most popular cultural
(文化的) activity in the UK.

more British people like to eat out. In 1999 every British person spent $5.63 every week on food outside.
