I am Dave. Some of my classmates are talking about their holidays in the classroom.

Jill: My grandparents live on a farm. I went there with my sister last month. We stayed there for seven days. The weather was usually sunny, so most of the time I played outside with my sister. On the farm, I milked cows, fed chickens and rode horses. I had a lot of fun. I think my trip was great.

Mark: I went to Shanghai with my parents. I wanted to visit some museums, but my parents wanted to go shopping. I didn't like going shopping. So I stayed in the hotel and watched TV all day. It was really a boring trip.

Anna: I think the best place for a holiday is the beach. I went to Sanya with my brother last year. The sand there was white, and it looked very beautiful. We built（建造）a big house with it. We swam and enjoyed the sunshine. We ate many kinds of seafood. It was delicious. The trip was great. I hope I can visit there again one day.

On my recent trip to Sydney with my parents, we visited the Wildlife Park.

The Wildlife Park has lots of different animals and birds. Some are native (当地的) to Australia and can only be found there. There are over 600 animals there, including kangaroos, koalas and crocodiles (鳄鱼). They are kept in their natural environment. I like the Wildlife Park better than a zoo where most of the animals are in cages.

We first spent some time with the kangaroos. We were allowed to touch and feed them. It was very exciting to be so close to them. There were koalas there too. They looked very cuddly (令人想拥抱的). Although we were not allowed to carry them, I got to take a photo with one. It is a wonderful souvenir (纪念品) of my holiday in Sydney.

The Wildlife Park has plenty of freshwater and saltwater crocodiles. Some of them are really big and scary (吓人的) with huge teeth! I did not want to get too close to them.

There was also a bird show. The keepers showed us different species (种类) they had. I saw an old parrot which could "talk". It made a great impression on me.

I enjoyed the trip very much. There was so much to see.

We have been in Australia for three days. We're having a good time here. Australia is the sixth largest country in the 1. Sydney is a beautiful city. There are many big trees and beautiful flowers around the houses and they 2 really beautiful. There are also some special animals in Australia, such as kangaroos and koalas. They are really lovely.

During the past three days we've visited many places of 3 around Sydney. I'd like to spend more time here, so we will fly to 4 city, Cairns, to see coral reefs (珊瑚礁) tomorrow. It is said that words cannot describe the beauty of the colourful corals. Many famous cartoon films were made there.

Now we are 5 packing our bags so that we will not lose time when we leave. We can enjoy ourselves in Cairns this time tomorrow. I'm looking forward to going there!

I often try to speak Chinese to my Chinese friends. Sometimes they don't understand me, because I can't speak Chinese well.

I go out this morning. I am on my way to the hospital. I want to see my friend Eric there. But I don't know how to get there. I ask a Chinese boy. The boy can't understand me. Then I take out a pen and some paper. I draw a man in bed on it, give the picture to the boy and say something about it. The boy smiles and then shows me the way to the hospital. So I see my friend at last.
