It was hard for us to leave our home and our relatives, but we wanted to make a new life here. Since that time, I have seen many curious and exciting places. I have learned a lot. New Orleans was very strange to me in the beginning. It was very different from Rome, my hometown. New Orleans seemed small and unexciting. I saw no grand buildings or ancient monuments (遗址). While some areas of town seemed clean and modern, others appeared old and dirty. Since then, I have become familiar with New Orleans and I like it better. I have visited the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Audubon Zoo. I have taken a river cruise (巡船) on the Delta Queen. I have taken a boat tour of the bayous (支流) and swamps (沼泽). I have become acquainted with (熟悉) the French Quarter and jazz music. I have eaten in fantastic restaurants. Now I know that New Orleans is as exciting and alive as Rome. Now it seems charming and friendly to me.

That is why people call the lake Sun and Moon Lake. Ali Mountain is the nearest mountain around Sun and Moon Lake. You can enjoy a nice experience with Gaoshan people. It′s a wonderful place to see a very beautiful sunrise. If you enjoy swimming, fishing, boating and eating delicious fruit and fresh fish, Peng Lake must be a good place to visit. The East Rift Valley is where the world′s largest continental plate (大陆板块) and largest oceanic plate meet. In this area you can see mountains, valleys, and hot springs (温泉), together with fields of rice, oranges and tea.

More and more museum directors (馆长) have realized that people learn best when they can become part of what they are seeing. In many science museums, the visitors are encouraged to touch, listen, and experiment so as to find scientific rules for themselves.

The old museums have been changing and the government is encouraging the building of new, modern museums. One cause of all these changes is the growing number of young people in the population. They see things in a new and different way. They want art that they can take part in. The same is true of science and history.
