    It usually depends on their age．Newborns (新生儿)of 0 to 3 months should sleep for about 18 hours a day．Babies of 4 to 11 months should start to sleep through the night，for 9 to 12 hours at a time．Children of 3 to 5 years should get 11 to 13 hours a day．Children of 6 to 13 need 9 to 11 hours of sleep．Teenagers of 14 and up need 8 to 10 hours of sleep．
