I'm Bob and I'm a student of No. 2 Middle School. We have many (rule) in our school. I think some of (they) are good for us, but others are not so good.

We have to (wear) the school uniform. I think it's good. If we don't have this rule, some students will wear expensive clothes. We can't be late school and we have to listen to the teachers (careful) in class. All of these rules are good for our study and we all like them.

We can't take mobile (phone) to school. I don't think it's good idea.

Sometimes our parents are busy can't get home early. They need to tell us about that. If we don't take phones, how can they call us? I know we should (study) hard, but we need (relax) a little, too.

A young man often says that he is very1and has nothing. One day, an old man walks2. He hears the young 3words and says," Hello, young man! What are you4about? You have nothing? That's5true! You have the most expensive things in the world, 6you are a rich person. The young man is very surprised and asks, " 7do you say that? You can see I have nothing. 8 are these expensive things?" Then9old man says, "If you sell your eyes to a rich blind man, you'll 10a lot of money and can get everything you want. Would you like to sell 11?"The young man doesn't want to be blind, so he says, "No. "The old man asks again, "Then what about 12your hands for some gold?" The young man shakes (摇)his 13for the second time. Finally, the old man says, "Now you understand. You have 14 things in the world."

So, the old man teaches both the young man and us a lesson—15is the most important for us.

Little Mary is a good girl. She began to go to school last year and now she's in Grade 2. Her home is not far from school, but she is often late for class because she likes watching TV and listening to music in the evening and goes to bed very late. So she can't get up on time in the morning.

This term Mr. White, Mary's uncle, works in her school. He teaches Grade 2 history. He is very strict with students, of course, with Mary, too. He often tells Mary to follow the school rules and come to school on time.

Today Mary got up late again. When she got to school, it was 8: 15. Her uncle was waiting for her at the school gate. "You are ten minutes late for the first class, "Mr. White said angrily. " Why are you often late for class?"

"Every time I get to the street corner, I always see a sign. It says, ' SCHOOL—GO SLOW!'" said Mary.
