Dear Lisa,

I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling down because of your failure in this talent show. I'd like to share my on this matter with you.

As we know, talent shows may change one's future. They the opportunity to show one's talents, and give people a way to make their dreams Since only some people are truly talented, there is no need to the result too seriously. It may not be good for us teenagers to become famous overnight. So just enjoy the process. In addition, there are many to success, and only by hard can you achieve your goals. As a teenager, you should spare no effort to study and your interests at the same time, which, without doubt, will enrich your future life.

All in all, don't be any more. Consider my suggestions and I do hope you'll be happy every day.

Dear Auntie Em,

Great news! Mrs Ford just told me I had been chosen as one of the school  (student) to visit the University of Cape Town in South Africa this summer! She said the programme  (design) for some of the brighter teenagers to experience a different culture.  a good chance!

The only problem is: Mum and Dad (simple) won't let me go. They said it was dangerous for me, a girl,  (travel) alone. But my guess is that they think it too expensive. I kept telling (they) I had been on a plane alone to visit you in Texas before. They needn't worry about me  this trip would be almost the same as that one. they just didn't listen!

Can you help me, Auntie Em? It will be very important experience to my personal growth.
